Working For Us
Volunteering as a Trustee
Our board seeks motivated and dedicated individuals to serve as Community Trustees for our distinctive educational institution. Serving as a trustee offers a deeply rewarding experience, allowing you to significantly impact the lives of the young individuals under our care. The board adheres to the Framework for Ethical Leadership in Education.
In 2019, our board received the National Governance Association’s “Outstanding Governance Award for a Single School.” The foremost criterion for trusteeship is prioritizing the well-being of our young people. It’s essential to possess the energy, curiosity, and availability to make a sustained commitment. While a background in financial management is desirable, it’s not a prerequisite. Annually, the board elects a chair, vice-chair, and committee chairs, presenting continuous opportunities for growth within these roles. We encourage applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds.
Our senior leadership team and trustees are dedicated to realizing our vision: “think differently to inspire young people to overcome all barriers and achieve their dreams.” The comprehensive development plan is accessible under the key documents tab. If your expertise aligns with our objectives, we’d love to hear from you.
Committee meetings convene online via Teams, while board meetings occur in-person at our Head Office on Bell Barn Road, B15 2AF, from 5pm – 7pm. Please note that trustee candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS check, must register for the DBS update service, and meet the eligibility criteria for trusteeship.
We harbor immense aspirations for our young individuals, recognizing no barriers or limits to their potential achievements.
Warm regards,
Stephen Jones
