This term, our students are delving into exciting topics across all subjects, from constructing geometric shapes in Maths to exploring biological wonders in Science. We’re immersing ourselves in literature, designing earthquake-proof structures in Humanities, and creatively experimenting in Art. Here’s a snapshot of what’s happening in each subject, keeping our students engaged, curious, and ready to learn!

MathsWe’re diving into shape visualisation and construction, drawing 2D shapes to scale and building 3D shapes, including exploring nets.
EnglishAs we conclude our novel study of Bone Sparrow by Zana Fraillon, we’ll explore sentence grammar, compare the novel to conflict poetry, and create inspired writing pieces. Plus, we’re introducing Spelling Frame – watch for more info!
HumanitiesWrapping up our Geography unit on Restless Earth, we’ll design earthquake-proof buildings, investigate volcanoes, and examine why people live near them. Afterward, we’ll start on the Norman Conquest in History.

ScienceWe’ll journey through key biological concepts, starting with photosynthesis and its role in sustaining life. Then, we’ll explore natural selection, evolution, and genetic inheritance, understanding how these processes shape life on Earth.
LiteracyWe’ll explore a variety of text types weekly, developing our oracy and writing skills, while also enhancing reading fluency.
ICTOur focus will be on online identities and internet safety, reviewing social media use and discussing what information is suitable to share online.
