Salary

GRADE 2 SCP 11-19 £18,562pa - £20,493pa (pro rata) + pro rata TA £1,507pa TA SEN allowance

GRADE 3 SCP 20-28 £20,903pa - £27,041pa (pro rata) + pro rata TA £1,507pa TA SEN allowance

+ 50% uplift on SEN allowance (pro rata) if working at Dovedale

At James Brindley, we provide education for children and young people whilst they are in hospital or are unable to attend their mainstream school due to medical conditions or special educational needs. We teach across 10 sites including teaching centres and hospitals in Birmingham. We also provide a home teaching service, designed to educate pupils in their own homes.

James Brindley is looking to appoint enthusiastic individuals who have experience in working with pupils with varying SEMH needs from KS2 up to GCSE level and beyond. In order to support the activities of the individual pupil/small groups, you should have experience of assisting pupils in a classroom environment as well as be able to implement agreed behaviour management strategies consistently and effectively. In addition, you should also have experience of working with young people with ASC. A good standard of education including maths and English GCSE at C (or eqv) and NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants (or working towards) are essential.
