Pupils
All school aged pupils admitted to our hospital schools are taught by our experienced teaching staff, regardless if they attend a main stream, special or grammar school.
We also support the medical team with updating EHCP's or initiating them due to new medical needs prior to the pupils being discharged back to their home school.
Special Educational Needs
Teachers in the hospital are all trained professionals and have years of experience of working with children with a variety of special educational needs. We will therefore do everything we can to ensure that your child does not feel left-out from being able to make academic progress whilst in hospital.
Home Teaching
If pupils need a certain amount time away from their home school whilst they recover from their surgery, teachers in the hospital can make a referral to a local home teaching service that will continue to support their education during this time.
