Parents/Carers

As a school, we understand the importance of working closely with parents and carers in order to effectively support the needs of our pupils. As part of our admission process we invite parents to meet with the Centre Leader to discuss their child’s education and to share any concerns or queries that they may have. As many of our parents are located all over the country, we always try to fit meetings around visits to the unit.

As part of the Newbridge CPA (Care Programme Approach) process, all teachers submit a summative written report that details an individual pupil’s progress in their subject. These reports are printed and handed to parents / carers prior to the CPA meeting. Where teachers have concerns regarding a pupil, a member of the James Brindley team will attend the meeting in order to discuss and share ideas on the best way forward.
