Northfield (KS3)
Welcome to Northfield!
Our Northfield Centre (KS3) is a 54 placement provision for pupils in years 7-9 with a diagnosis of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) conditions.
As a specialist SEMH provision, the KS3 Centre understands that young people who join us will need support alongside the opportunity to develop self-worth, confidence and resilience. The aim of our provision is short term in nature with a view to pupils progressing back to mainstream school or another long term provider.
Pupils are taught in classes of up to eleven with a teacher and another member of support staff.
We deliver a dynamic curriculum, with all lessons being taught by subject specialists.
Our offer includes a curriculum of English, Maths, Science, ICT, PSHE, PE, RE, Art, Music, Drama, Life skills and an Enrichment afternoon which offers a further range of activities including Cooking, First aid, Animal care and drama workshops.
Our staff work closely with our pupils and their families, as well as other professionals to put together personalised support plans to meet their needs.
Our Centre Management Team consists of:
- Julia Smith - Centre Leader & DSL
- Wayne Graystone- SENCo
- Ralph Hartley- Pastoral Manager
