 Autumn, Spring and Summer

Throughout the year pupils will be studying various aspects of the three strands of Computing. These are: Digital Literacy, Computer Science and Information Technology.

We study a range of topics in an innovative modular curriculum that is designed to engage and extend our pupils knowledge of computing in today’s Digital Connected World.

  • BBC Micro:Bit Programming
  • Video editing and design
  • Databases and spreadsheets
  • Web design
  • Kodu game design
  • Flash Animation
  • Python coding
  • Computer Hardware and Software
  • Binary and Logic
  • Computer networks and digital citizenship.
 

How is the course assessed

Each topic area has a discrete assessment focus which links to the three strands of the CAS Progression Pathways.
